The NTTS Breakdown Directory is the most comprehensive guide to semi-truck repair facilities nationwide–including those offering 24-hour road service.

Get the Big Picture
Featuring a 4.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen display, the nüvi 465T provides users with a wealth of information in great detail. Preloaded with detailed, street-level maps of the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, the nüvi 465T speaks street names so drivers will receive turn-by-turn, voice-prompted directions, such as turn right on Main Street. The nüvi 465T also comes standard with lane assist, which guides users to the right lane at the right time–especially helpful when navigating complex highway interchanges.

Know the Way
With detailed maps providing turn-by-turn directions that call out streets by name, the nüvi 465T provides specialized routing to support truck-related restrictions (customizable by height, weight, length, width, and hazardous materials). Simply enter dimensions and load restrictions, and nüvi 465T guides you according to your requirements. You can even enter multiple-point routing so that you can take a more efficient route between multiple stops along your trip.

Steer Clear of Hazards
Know what lies in your path with the nüvi 465T. It displays warning information of upcoming road conditions to make drivers aware of possible hazards along the route, such as sharp curves and steep grades. You’ll also get lateral wind warnings and notification when the road narrows. It’s the safe way to travel down the highway.

Avoid Traffic Tie-Ups
Put traffic jams behind you with nüvi 465T’s integrated FM traffic receiver. Receive free alerts about traffic delays and road construction that lie ahead on your route. Simply touch nüvi’s screen to view traffic details or detour around the problem area.

Make Hands-Free Calls
For hands-free calling, nüvi 465T integrates Bluetooth wireless technology with a built-in microphone and speaker. Just pair it with your compatible Bluetooth phone and talk hands-free through the 465T while staying focused on the road. Simply dial numbers with nüvi’s touchscreen keypad to make a call. Don’t waste your money drivers!!!
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Drivers,

I couldn’t wait for this “trucker specific” navigation unit to hit the shelves. I bought it the first day it came out, and it’s the most wasted $500 I have ever spent. Do yourself a favor, don’t buy this unit. You can get the same information with a much cheeper unit. This thing is very user unfriendly. The truck stop finder is awful. It’s like pulling teeth to find a major truck stop like a TA, Petro, Pilot, Love’s or Flying J. The warnings on this thing are the most annoying thing since “fingers on a chalk board”! The sharp curve warnings are a joke and VERY uneccessary, the scale warnings give you both sides of the highway, even though it is supposed to know which direction you’re traveling, and the worthless unit doesn’t even allow the option to turn these warnings off. I could go on and on about the waste of my hard earned money this new “navigation” unit is, but I have wasted enough on this thing already. I just hope that Garmin does something to make it right with the customers that have spent a fortune on this piece of junk and allow free software downloads of updated USEFULL features that will make this unit a true “trucker specific” navigation system and worth the money that they charge for a unit that doesn’t even come close to what I was hoping it would be.

Not much better then a auto GPS
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought the 465T back in July and so far I give this unit a C for trucks. The truck routing of this GPS is just horrible at times. It has routed me down dark residential side streets with low tree branches, when there was actually a truck designated route available. On several other occasions it took me off a main interstate, to throw me on a secondary highway for no particular reason, only to end up on the same interstate again. Do not rely totally on this unit to keep you out of trouble. I have a trucking atlas to double check my route from now on. Im thinking now I would of been better off with a standard $150 GPS from Garmin, plus the Trucking Atlas by Rand Mcnally.

Good for RVers
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I got this for my class A RV it keeps me off the roads that have light bridges and low under passes. also keeps me on truck friendly highways. It also has a list of truck repair shops and truck stops built in. Easy to use.

A Truckers Point Of View
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Ok, first off I own this 465t and a tomtom. But this is about the 465t. Garmin has made a pretty good unit, but it still needs a quite of bit of work to be done. I live in northern illinois. I drive locally and regionally. What i have to say good about the 465t is I like how you can put in all your dimensions and hazmat if needed. And then “try to proceed with a truck route”. I have never tried this in the car mode, only truck mode. I have been on quite a few designated state truck highways with the 465t in the past 2 weeks. The problem I have encountered is the 465t is not reconiseing {sorry about my spelling} alot of the truck routes in my neck of the woods. Major ones like Route 41, Route 43 just for instance. When you are on these routes that are not reconised by the 465t and in or out of a route you have put into the 465t it will kick you out of your route and tell you it can not continue or caluate the route. I have contacted customer care at garmin about this and they were very apprecitive I have done so. If any one has problems as I have please do the same because they can’t fix what they don’t know about.Be suspecit about it, write down notes. The 465t is better then a gps with no truck mode. It has determined about bridge heights in chicago quite a few times. I do recommend this , but as always don’t put your life and lively hood on the line drivers with a piece of electronics. Remember D.O.T. wants your money. Use your head and a rand mcnally map too.

Pleased with the Garmin 465T
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I drive a 40′ motor home and live in it full time as well. We like to travel on the 2 lane highways and the 465T has helped me avoid low clearances and narrow bridges. I would recommend this unit for all RVers. Lots of features. I even used it on our trip through Canada. Switched the units to metric and I had a digital speedometer that let me know what speed(in kilometers) I was traveling. It was great.Garmin nüvi 465T 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Truck GPS Navigator

Garmin Nuvi 465T GPS
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I purchased the Nuvi 465T since I drive a tractor in various areas of Maryland to help keep me out of trouble with low bridges, restricted roads etc. My other and perhaps main reason to buy this unit was the hope of selecting back roads that are conducive for my tractor when making private deliveries. Well, this is not the case. I was in truck the truck mode (both car and truck mode you can choose from) and was directed on a back road which was as winding and steep both up and down hill as you can imagine so this was a problem. There was a better option it could have taken me. The 465T will often route you differently than car mode, but obviously my hope that it would keep me out of a bind was just a hope that day. It is nice that I can switch between car and truck modes and see if it routes me differently so I can then then decide which way I choose to go, but I would recommend use with a map as a side of caution since GPS are not perfect especially on back country roads. I delivered in Baltimore City by 2 low bridges and I don’t remember it detecting them that are next to each other. The 465T will give you lots of pop up restrictions such as weight for the given road, but it doesn’t seem to matter since trucks generally allowed to make local deliveries regardless such as fuel trucks for local gas stations and dump trucks for local construction. I see it as more informational than anything else for me.

My new GPS has blanked out on me a few times since owning it. It then resets itself which happens when I go to recall an address I put in it before I head out for deliveries. On a few occasions, like yesterday, it began to give directions in a Mikey Mouse voice which has happened twice before so I have had to turn off the unit and turn it back on to restore it.

Once my Nuvi 750 comes back to me from Garmin (I sent to be replaced since it failed after a year. I will probably return this because of the quirks if it is not too late or send it back for replacement. I can only hope these quirks are with my unit only. Overall I like the unit and probably expect too much out of it but the price seems too high given the short comings and quality problems.

Not Bad!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I have had this GPS for about 2 days now. My only “Beef” with it, is that the mount that comes with it, is only good if you mount the GPS on top of the dash. There is no “Suction Cup” mount for the windshield or if you wanted to use a “Disk” and “Suction Cup” mount together. I dont care to mount it on top of the dash due to the reason that it does block my view. I drive an International 9400 and I had my old Garmin mounted next to the switches on the dash, this way it did not block my view of the road. I did go to Best Buy and purchase a new suction cup mount and mounted it where the old one was. Otherwise, I really like this unit. I wished it came with a leather carry case like my Nuvi 350 did. You would think for the money you spend, it would have come with a carry case and a better mount. All works as advertised so far…

UPS AND DOWNS
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I drive a very noisy truck. The 465t can be heard and the screen is very easy to see regardless of the light outside. The only drawback that i can see is that if you are on certain roads that trucks can travel the unit sends a alarm that trucks should not be on that road. The unit is very good about sending a alarm for steep downgrades before you get to them, also curvy turns.I have not had it alarm for overpasses as I believe that if you put in the truck specs it routes you accordingly.I have tested it in areas that i know have more then one way in and every time it has routed me in according to the truck specs.I have lifetime traffic but i have not been able to activate it yet.overall i think it is a very good unit providing you put the correct truck specs in.The arrival times that the unit shows for a trip are right on.

Gets the job done.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’m giving this a five star only because it’s the only GPS i ever owened. But it has made my job easier and improve my work performance. I am a commercial truck driver in Los Angeles, and drive all of Southern California. It does a good job keeping you of the NO TRUCK ROUTE streets, but if you do run into a no truck route street just turn and the gps will re-calculate you another way. Before i will have to pull over and check the map. I have had this GPS for about 3 months and only had to double check the map book twice. This GPS really comes in handy when you need to make 15-18 deliveries a day. Overall it does make work a little easier and a little safer.

Used for 25 days and return it,.

Need a strong speaker, bigger screen.

Advised don’t go away , you have to manually press ok.

PA Turnpike (70 & 76) where they run together!! for this one are two roads,(1 next to the other). Not a problem in car mode.

We still need Pause option on gps., We need to fuel, breaks, restrooms..etc. but gps keep….turn around , and you have to cancel o shut it off.

Get the Street Pilot 7200 and happy with it. Not for 18 wheelers but great for everithing else.

My two cents.
